USSD is a session-based telecom interface: the user dials a short code and navigates menus. It works on feature phones and without mobile data, which makes it essential for inclusive financial services.

How it fits

Authentication — the subscriber is authenticated within the session. See Authentication.
Payments — users can pay and transfer through menus. See Payments.
Confirmation — your backend learns the outcome through webhooks.

Sessions are short-lived and menu-driven, so keep flows to a few steps. Supported operators and short codes have not been published.
