Agent Account
Accounts for AI agents, robots, and devices acting under delegated authority.
DraftDescribes the intended design. Not yet available — names, fields and behaviour may change.
An Agent Account lets software or a machine hold and use financial capabilities on behalf of a person or business — without sharing that owner’s credentials.
Examples: an AI assistant that pays bills, a delivery robot that pays for charging, a vending machine that receives payments.
Principles
Every Agent Account operates under explicit controls:
- Owner
- Each Agent Account is owned by a Personal or Business Account that is accountable for it.
- Identity
- The agent has its own credentials, so its actions are attributable and revocable independently.
- Permissions
- The agent may only perform the actions it was granted.
- Limits
- Spending caps per transaction and per period, and allowed counterparties or merchant categories.
- Oversight
- All actions appear in activity; owners can pause or revoke the agent at any time.
