AIoT systems are connected devices that additionally use AI — for sensing, interpretation, decision-making, automation, or autonomous behaviour. A smart energy controller that decides when to buy power is AIoT; a meter that only reports readings is IoT.
Because an AIoT system’s financial actions are not fully predetermined, it should run with:
- Narrow permissions and strict spending limits on its Agent Account.
- Allowed counterparties where possible.
- Owner notifications through webhooks.
